How do I add my first item?
Tap the Camera button on the toolbar at the bottom of the home screen. Fill in whatever details you want (description, category, quantity, price) and tap "Take Pic/Submit" to photograph and save the item.
What AI services does the app support?
The app supports Google Gemini, OpenAI (GPT-4o), Ollama for local/self-hosted AI, and Azure. You provide your own API keys for cloud services. Ollama runs on your own computer, keeping everything private. You can get a free Gemini API key from Google AI Studio.
What does box number 999 mean?
Box 999 is a special value meaning "show ALL items" across every box. It's the default on a fresh install. To organize items, type a new box number (any number or name like "Garage" or "box0001") in the box field on the home screen.
Is my data stored in the cloud?
All inventory data is stored locally on your device. We never store your data on our servers. You can back up and transfer via GGG files, ZIP exports, CSV, AirDrop, or USB.
How does barcode scanning work?
Point your camera at any barcode or QR code. The app supports 13+ formats including EAN-13, UPC-E, and Code128. It automatically looks up product info from Open Food Facts and UPCitemdb.
How does the eBay price lookup work?
In the Edit Item screen, tap the eBay price check button. The app searches eBay's sold listings to find real market prices. You can also enable "Browse eBay Listings" in AI Settings to see a scrollable list with photos.
Can I use this with my online store?
Yes! The app integrates with WooCommerce. Configure your WordPress credentials in Settings > WooCommerce & AI Settings, then flag items for your online store using the WooCommerce toggle on the camera or edit screens.
What label formats are supported?
You can print price tags, UPC labels, full labels, and store QR codes on Avery label sheets (5160, 5163, 5164, and more). Box QR labels can be generated for individual boxes or ranges. All labels generate as PDFs you can print or share.
Does the Point of Sale accept payments?
Yes! The built-in POS supports cash and credit card payments. For credit cards, it integrates with Square. Sales automatically deduct items from your inventory. You can print or email receipts and collect signatures.
How do I transfer inventory to another device?
Go to the Export screen (toolbar), then use "Share via AirDrop (GGG)" to send a complete backup to another device. The other device opens the GGG file in Inventory Control to import everything including photos.
Is there an iPad version?
Yes, the app is a universal iOS app that works on both iPhone and iPad with optimized layouts for each device.
What is TREC?
TREC is the text recognition feature. In the Edit Item screen, tap the TREC button, then tap four corners on the photo to draw a rectangle around text. The app extracts the text using OCR. Great for serial numbers, labels, and product info.
Camera not working?
Go to your iPhone/iPad Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera, and make sure Inventory Control is enabled. If you see a permissions popup in the app, tap "Allow".
