Introduction

Gas Tracker ("the App") is developed by Goldlink Inc. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.

Data Collection & Storage

The App stores all data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our servers. Specifically:

• Fill-up records, service history, and vehicle profiles are stored in Core Data on your device
• Vehicle data is stored in local UserDefaults
• Photos you take or attach are stored in the app's Documents directory on your device
• OBD-II vehicle data (odometer, fuel level, VIN) is read locally via Bluetooth and stored on device
• API keys for AI providers are stored locally in UserDefaults, never transmitted to Goldlink

AI Photo Scanning

When you use the AI scanning feature, photos are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you select (Google Gemini, OpenAI, etc.). We do not act as an intermediary. The photo goes directly from your device to the provider's API. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle image data.

Third-Party Services

The App can optionally connect to these third-party services when you choose to use them:

• Google Gemini — AI photo scanning (pump, receipt, dashboard, VIN, plate)
• OpenAI / ChatGPT / Copilot — Alternative AI photo scanning providers
• Ollama — Local/self-hosted AI (no data leaves your network)

Location Data

The App requests location permission to auto-fill the gas station name when logging a fill-up, and to detect when you arrive at a gas station (optional notification). Location data is used only on-device and is never transmitted to Goldlink.

CarPlay, Watch & Siri

Data shared between your iPhone, Apple Watch, and CarPlay stays within Apple's ecosystem using WatchConnectivity and local notifications. Siri Shortcuts use Apple's on-device processing. No data is sent to Goldlink servers.

Analytics & Tracking

The App does not use any analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. We do not collect usage data.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
